The Harold D. Buckingham Graduate School offers a number of master’s programs at National American University. The graduate school offers programs in management, business, and nursing as well as a Ph.D. program in education. The graduate programs do not require tests like a GRE or GMAT and they are all 100 percent online. In addition, most of the programs from the Harold D. Buckingham Graduate School can be completed in about 12 months, not two years like other programs.

Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting

The graduate school offers an MBA with a concentration in accounting for interested students. As this program is only available online, students will find that classes are flexible and perfect for those who are working full time. Students who wish to enroll in these MBA courses will need to present a bachelor’s degree in any field as well as a transcript showing that they had a minimum of a 2.75/4.00 in their undergraduate work. In order to successfully graduate from this program, students will need to complete at least 54 credit hours. In order to receive the concentration in accounting, three additional accounting electives will also need to be taken. These 54 credit hours will be made up of MBA core courses, concentration electives and other business electives. Graduates who earn their degree will be able to enter the workforce as leaders in the accounting field.

Beacom School of Business

The Beacom School of Business sees itself as the leader in business education throughout the entire region. The program is strongly driven by the mission of the university; it is a nationally respected program and fully accredited. The programs that are offered by Beacom come at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Master of Professional Accountancy

Students who enter into the Beacom School of Business for an MPA, will find that they have a number of options. There is an MPA degree with a thesis, an MPA degree without a thesis, an MPA degree with an internship and a joint MPA/JD degree. Additionally, students will find a fast track option that will get them finished with the program more quickly.
The traditional MPA programs, the thesis/non-thesis/internship programs, will all require 30 credit hours to complete. These credit hours will be made of 21 core credit hours in accounting, six credit hours of electives in accounting and three credits for their internship or thesis. Those that choose the non-thesis route will make up those credits with an extra elective course. Upon graduation, students will be fully prepared to sit for the CPA exam and will be excellent additions to any business or organization.
